Muncie – David Matthew Crutcher, 35 years old, went to Heaven peacefully with the guidance of his beloved older brother Daniel Ryan Crutcher and his Special Guardian Angels by his side on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  He went quietly and peacefully surrounded by his beloved family and loving friends onto his next journey.  We know that David will be greeted with loving open arms by his Brother Daniel and his Grandparents that loved him dearly.

David was born on August 13, 1983, in Muncie, the son of Larry and Mary Jo (Jetmore) Crutcher.  He was named David (“The Beloved One”), and truly lived up to his name.  He was an amazing Daddy, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.  His absolute love for his two beautiful Daughters, Kayla and Aubrey, shined through everything he did.  They were the absolute light of his life and he will be their forever Guardian Angel watching over them.

David attended the Muncie Area Career Center and graduated in 2001.  He completed several courses in general studies at Ivy Tech.  David worked for Xfinity Comcast for the past nine years where he met some amazing lifelong friends.  He previously worked for Hines Masonry as a bricklayer for several years.  He enjoyed being a Dad, listening to music, riding motorcycles and hanging out with trusted family and friends.  David was a gentleman with a very big heart and a very giving person.  His organ donation will help others.

David’s Xfinity Comcast Supervisor, Jerry York, eloquently described David’s life as follows:  “No one knows how long our journey will be on this Earth, only our God.  Some will be short and others long.  But what speaks the loudest about our journey are the lives we have touched and David’s journey speaks the loudest!  He has touched more lives than most ever will and his journey is a celebration.  We will always love you for the time you have given to us all and we will miss you—you are, were and still the most awesome person we all could ever have had in our lives!”

He was preceded in death by his older Brother, Daniel Ryan Crutcher in 2013, his Maternal Grandparents, Dale and Verda Jetmore and Paternal Grandparents, Bill and Cleda Crutcher and Daniel’s beloved dog, Gwen in August 2018.

Left to celebrate his life are his two beautiful Daughters of whom he adored, Kayla Crutcher 15, and Aubrey, 13, Mother; his Mother Mary Jo (Jetmore) Crutcher-Muncie; his Father, Larry Crutcher-Anderson; his Brother Joshua D. Crutcher (Nikki-Bro-in-Law)-Selma; Step-Niece, April King; Step-Nephews, Austin King and Travis Barber; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Loving Friends who were chosen family and special friend, mother of his children, Lindsey Tuttle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 4th at 5:00 p.m. at Center Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Damon Sopher officiating along with Rev. Dr. Ron Naylor and special family friend Rusty Clements.  Family and Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4th at the Church.  Meeks Mortuary is handling all arrangements with burial at a later date at Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prime Trust in David’s memory, which will go towards a fund for his daughters, Kayla and Aubrey or to Center Chapel United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be directed to the family at meeksmortuary.com.
