NEW CASTLE – Dianna Rose Miller, 72, formerly of Muncie, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 11, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on December 15, 1944 in Muncie, the daughter of Virgil Morris and Roberta Rose (Case) Colson and attended Muncie Central High School. On April 27, 1962 in Muncie, she married Nelson G. “Sonny” Miller, Jr.

Dianna worked in foodservice for many years. She enjoyed going to the casinos, planting flowers, caring for her garden and was always willing to take care of everyone else, regardless of her own situation. The joy of her life was her grandchildren, great-granddaughter and spending time with her family.

Surviving are one son, Terry Miller (wife, Melissa) of Yorktown; two daughters, Kelli Morgan (husband, Charlie) of Muncie and Tracy Knight of Yorktown; four grandchildren, Skyler Miller (wife, Manda), Tyler Miller, Alana Knight and Bailey Morgan; six step-grandchildren, Charlie, Casey and Chase Morgan, Hollie, Josh and Sarah Acton; one great-granddaughter, Ja’Riella; two sisters, Mary Lou Paschal (husband, Donnie) of New Castle and Penney Bolin (husband, Dennis) of Losantville; and a half sister, Linda Walden of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, Nelson G. “Sonny” Miller, Jr.; one son in infancy, Jeffrey Miller; and one brother, Billy Joe Colson.

Per her wishes, there will be no services and cremation will take place. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Dianna’s children wish to extend a special thank-you to her sister, Mary Lou Paschal, whom she had lived with and had been her longtime caregiver since the death of her beloved husband, Sonny.
