She was born on January 4, 1938 in Muncie, the daughter of Alvia and Florence H. (Triplett) Littell.

HARTFORD CITY- Donna J. (Littell) Ashby, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 4, 1938 in Muncie, the daughter of Alvia and Florence H. (Triplett) Littell.
Donna graduated from Central High School. She worked at Fannies Alterations, Northside High School Cafeteria, and Delaware County Recorder’s Office, where she was elected county Recorder from 1983-1991. Donna was also an assistant and inspector at Delaware County Weights and Measures and worked in Warsaw at Kosciusko County Family and Children’s Services for two years.
She was a CASA of Kosciusko County volunteer and a member of the Red Hat Scoiety.
Surviving are her two daughters, Teresa K. Dodd (husband, Dean) of Hartford City and Kathryn A. Ashby of Aurora, IL; daughter-in-law, Jackie Ashby Allen (husband, David) of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Chad Dodd (wife, Julie) of Hartford City, Mike Dodd (wife, Katie) of Amber, OK, Talia Pearson (husband, Adam), Kendal Rodgers (husband, Clifton), and twins, Garrett and Taylor Ashby of Noblesville; nine great-grandchildren, Marcus Price, Scott, Kendra, and Brooklyn Dodd, Ashby and Finley Pearson, and Hagan and Dorian Rodgers; two sisters, Patricia K. Osborne (husband, James), Myrna L. Smith; two brothers, David L. Littell (wife, Alice) and Rodney E. Littell (wife, Susan); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William “Bill” Ashby, son, Marvin D. Ashby, and brother-in-law, Wayne Smith.
Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.
