MUNCIE – Kenneth L. Friedline, 92, passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018 at Elmcroft.

He was born on February 16, 1926 in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania, the son of G. Edward and Elizabeth L. (Roberts) Freidline and graduated from Somerset High School in 1943. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during WWII and married Carolyn S. Garrett in Muncie on July 2, 1983.

Ken began his career with Borg Warner in Pennsylvania at the brake test station before being transferred to Muncie in 1962, serving 31 ½ years before retiring. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Theatre Organ Society, Muncie Organ Club, serving as past president, Moose Lodge #33, Elks Lodge #245, Grand Spinner Square Dance Club, and the Arthur Murray Dance Club.

He loved to build things, remodeling almost every room in the house and building a Wersi Organ from a kit. He was an excellent organist and pianist, playing at the Skyline, Halteman Village and the Moose.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Carolyn Friedline of Muncie; three children, Yvonne Beasley of Boynton Beach, FL, Robert Kenneth Friedline of Jennerstown, PA and Arlen Lee Friedline (wife, Doris) of Indianapolis; five step-children, Jenny Jeffers (husband, Scott) of Muncie, Phillip Todd Mack of Muncie, Joseph Mack of Stewart, FL, Steven Mack of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Diana Mack of Hobe Sound, FL; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William James Friedline; and two brothers, Leslie Eastman Friedline and Eugene Edward Friedline.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie with full military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Veterans of Delaware County.

Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
