MELBOURNE, FL-Max L. Haffner passed away at his residence on March 2, 2018 in Melbourne, Florida.

He was born August 24, 1941, in Muncie, to the parents of Jacob Haffner, Sr. and Frances (Gates) Haffner.

Max was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed for over 36 years as a United Auto Worker in various locations in Muncie and Anderson Indiana.

Mr. Haffner was an inspiration to many and known as an individual who would help anyone in need.

Mr. Haffner is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Janice Haffner; his daughter Rene’e L. Blain; five grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; his sister Linda (Tommy) Crawford; and his sister-in-law, Betty Haffner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jacob Haffner, Jr., his son Jeffery Allen Haffner., and his grandson, Brian Lee Blain.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, on March 13, 2018 at 2:00pm, with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Army and the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard.
