MUNCIE- Micci Borson, 92, died Thursday evening, July 26, 2018. She was born in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of Carl and Cassie Brannon.
Her life was anything but a choose-your-own-adventure book. Forever impacted by the loss of her mother at an early age, she lived what she believed; stubborn tenacity and good measures of spunk can sustain one through difficult times.
Always interested in new people and places and naturally curious, Micci often boasted upon meeting or hearing about unfamiliar people “I’ve heard tell about them” even if they lived on the other side of the world. She missed her calling as a journalist for sure. Though 92 and a beach lover, her skin was almost flawless and preached (among other things) to her daughters and granddaughters the importance of swathing on skin creams. She was an excellent seamstress, a mean pie baker, and could bring life back to the saddest plants. She will be sorely missed!
Her husband, Sondo and son, Tim precede her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Sonia (Thamar) Main, Cynthia (Mike) Downham, and Susie Borson; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Tomlinson Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
