Muncie – Michael R. Charman, 76, it is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Richard Charman, on Thursday morning, April 13, 2017.

He was born on June 7, 1940 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was adopted by his parents, John and Elsie (Bull) Charman, graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1958, joined the US Marine Corps, then graduated from Ball State University, and with an MBA from Ashland University.

Mr. Charman was the owner of Charman Enterprises in Eaton.

Surviving are his wife, Linda (Quigley Gaddis) Charman; son, John Charman (Jennifer), Hayesville, OH; daughters, Jennifer McHugh (Kevin), Zanesville, OH, Michele Crossen (Peter), Perrysville, OH, Jayne Meyer (Damon), Ashland, OH, and Melissa Charman, Flagstaff, AZ; his children’s mother, Julianne Conner Charman, Perrysville, OH; step-sons, Steve Gaddis (Jama), Muncie, Scott Gaddis (Julie Barlett), Muncie and Andrew Gaddis, Fishers; his precious dog, Daisy; numerous grandchildren, Kenneth Phillips, Ashley Crossen Blair, Cassidy Crossen Bacon, Britany Crossen Thomas, Audrey, Jack and Will Meyer, Adrian and Paige Charman, Conner and Sussa Gitomer, Matt, Garrett, Brandon, Ayden, Isabella, and Elleana Gaddis; numerous great-grandchildren; and cousins, Howard, Tom, and John Bull. Michael was loved and will be greatly missed by special friends, Alfredo and Pat Marin, Erwin and Barbara Mueller, Jarred and Kris Scott, Mary Trapp, and all of his special lifelong Canadian friends in his favorite place in the world, Willisville, Ontario.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Michael Guy Charman in 1985.

There will be no local services, however, a Celebration of Life will be held this summer in Willisville, Ontario, Canada.
