Naomi N. Conley, 96, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

Naomi N. Conley, 96, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.
Naomi was born May 28, 1920, in Muncie, the daughter of Albert and Mattie (Robinson) Waymire. Naomi was a lifelong resident of Muncie and attended Muncie Central High School. Naomi married the love of her life, LeRoy “Mose” Conley on April 30, 1938.
Mrs. Conley worked for A.L. Ross, recently Ross Supermarkets for many years before becoming a homemaker and raising her family.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the family’s lake cottage, and making grape pies from her own homegrown grapes.
Naomi enjoyed reading, crafting and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Wilmore Methodist Church, Forest Park Church of the Nazarene, the Avondale Sympathy Club, and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Wise (husband, Jack), Muncie, Lana Reeves (husband, Darrell), Hudson, FL; a son, Chris Conley, Muncie; three grandchildren, Jeff Wise (wife, Cindy), Muncie, Stacie Laviano (husband, Tony), Weeki Wachee FL, and Mandi Evans (husband, Sam), Muncie; eleven great grandchildren, Patrick Meeks, Jeffrey Wise, Troy Cornwell (wife, Sarah), Travis Cornwell, Trey Cornwell, Anthony Laviano, Trevor Laviano, Taylor Laviano, Claire Evans, Luke Evans, and Melissa Gariepy; two great, great grandchildren, Drake Cornwell, and John Turcer; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Conley was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Conley; grandson, Chris J. Conley; a brother, Melvin Waymire; a sister, Marvetta VanMatre; half-brother, William Davis; half-sister, Lois Bricker; and three sisters-in-law, Clara Waymire, Helen Wilson, and Dolores Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, May 22, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor David Delk officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 10:00 am until service time at Noon on Monday, May 22, 2017.
Donations or food items, in memory of Naomi, may be contributed to Forest Park Church of the Nazarene Food Bank, 2015 W. Memorial Drive, Muncie, IN 47302.
