Muncie – On November 2, 2018 the Heavenly angels descended upon us to escort our Mom, Patricia Ann Godsey, to her eternal home.  “Job well done, good and faithful servant.”

Patricia was born September 3, 1943 in Westmoreland, Tennessee, the daughter of Joseph and Naomi (Hammock) Sloan.  From an early age, Mom had a servant heart. Beginning as a young girl she looked out for her little sister and enjoyed helping Granny prepare dinner for their family. Then, waited tables as a teenager and continued serving for years to come helping to provide for her family, while allowing her to be a present homemaker. At the age of 39 she went back to school to obtain her nursing degree, fulfilling a dream of helping others in their time of need.  She was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives and they always knew that “Nana” loved them very much and would do anything for them!

Mrs. Godsey was a Registered Nurse for Ball Memorial Hospital for twenty years prior to her retirement in 2005.

Pat was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a supporter of their Preschool and Mission House, and she contributed to many charitable organizations in the community.  She was an AMAZING cook and host, avid reader, loved gardening, enjoyed bowling and lunch with friends (and occasionally enjoyed a visit to the casino).

She is survived by her loving and doting husband of 57 years, Hugh James Godsey, Muncie; three children, James Godsey, Muncie, Laura Harper (husband, Tim), Fishers, and Gina Bradburn (husband, Trent), Muncie; six grandchildren, Ryan Riggs, Hannah Hendrickson, Karsten Hendrickson (wife, Alyssa), Adam Harper, Olivia Bradburn, Gage Bradburn; and one sister, Barbara Gilmore (husband, Bob), Lebanon, OH; a son-in-law, Phil Kluemper; Greenwood, loving sisters-in-law; and many extended family members in Tennessee.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and her oldest daughter, Kimberly Kluemper.
