Muncie – Peggy A. Schesky, 69, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 11, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born on April 10, 1948 in Muncie the daughter of Orval and Ethel A. (Springman) Schesky and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1966.

Peggy was employed in cabinet factories in Muncie and Indianapolis before going to work at Kerr Glass in Dunkirk for fourteen years, ending her employment years at a small printing company in Muncie, after twenty-five years there, she was glad to retire to her gardening and traveling.

She loved growing vegetables and flowers giving both away to her friends, family and people she didn’t even know. Peggy was known for her tomatoes and roses. Peggy and Lee traveled to the Smoky Mountains and North Carolina several times and Mackinac Island being their favorites.

Surviving are Leeann Kisner-Schesky, her long time soul mate and love of her life, her travel buddy and best friend of thirty-five years. On February 10, 2017 Peggy and Lee got married at Peggy’s home. Family and friends were there to celebrate. After thirty-five years it was time. Lee’s family, Peggy’s adopted family, Sandy Morris, daughter and son, Chelsea and Jake Morris, Betty and Jeff Geyman, Betty’s son, Jarod Walls, Jeff’s daughters, Ashlee and Britney; lifelong friend, Candy Glaser and family; special cousin, Shirley Wolfe; friends, Debbie and Donnie McCoin, Diane and Chuck Luttrell, Lola McGregor and daughters; long-time friends, Judy Adams, “Storage War Gang” Myra, Linda, and Paulette; many cousins and more friends then she could ever count; Peggy touched people and tried to help them in so many ways.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Schesky; two sisters, Arlene and Tina Schesky; good friends, Sally Williams and Bob Morris; her beloved dog Brandi; and aunts and uncles, Leona and Virgil Lowe, Rose and Carl Doyle, Ed and Mildred Springman.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Minister Lola McGregor officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
