Muncie -Ben (born July 19, 1956) and Brenda (born August 16, 1952) Wilber left this world together to join their heavenly father on May 29, 2021.

They met over a decade ago while working at IUH Ball Memorial Hospital, but Ben was not able to woo her right away. After a few years of friendship, Brenda agreed to have morning coffee with Ben and that was considered their first date. His big smile, her beautiful eyes, his goofy sense of humor, her calm demeanor, their faith in God, and the kindness within both of them is what ultimately brought them together, and they were inseparable until the very end.

Even in death they remain together, and we believe they will continue to love one another for all eternity. Brenda loved her children, and her grandbabies meant absolutely everything to her. Brenda was a singer/songwriter, a very talented pianist, a Sunday School teacher, a craft master, seamstress, and baker. Her desserts were legendary! She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Ben was a well-known busy-body and could be found working in his garden, taking Brenda out for a ride on his Harley, working on one of his many projects, or helping out friends and family any time they called on him. Ben was a joyful person and brightened everyone’s day. He remains in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends. Brenda retired from Ball Hospital in 2017 after 12 years of employment. She had previously worked in education. Ben began his career at Ball in 1988 and had plans to retire this summer. Not only did Ben work full time at the hospital for over 30 years, he was also a business owner and managed two companies for several years.

Brenda is survived by siblings Jetta Fulmer (husband Bob), David Kimbrell (wife Betty), James Kimbrell, Jerri Cochran (husband Brian), Lonnie Kimbrell (wife Sheryl), Danny Kimbrell (wife Kathy), and Sheila Jett. Brenda also leaves behind her son Ryan Utsler (wife Krista), daughter Korena Hammond and stepson Jason Hammond, as well as grandchildren: Alexis, Nathan, Madison, Cade, Rylie, Parker and Kendall.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Kimbrell and Cordelia (McCoy) Kimbrell, as well as siblings Nelda Kelly and William Kimbrell. Ben is survived by his sister Billie Jane Sparks (husband David), and two brothers Bruce Thomas and Steve Thomas.

Ben leaves behind his daughter Daisha Wilber, and two sons Ben Wilber II (wife Shelby) and Tyler Wilber (partner Shari) and their mother, Tammy Wilber. His pride and joy, 18-month-old grandson, Ben Wilber III will know his grandpa through the stories we will be sure to share with him. Ben is preceded in death by his parents William Wilber and M. Joan (Bryant) Wilber and two brothers; William Wilber Jr. and James Wilber.

Both Ben and Brenda are survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends. They will be deeply missed by their church family as well.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
