YORKTOWN – Benjamin Joe ZeBelle, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

He was born on March 4, 1938, the son of William Douglas and Gladys (McCaffery) ZeBelle.

Joe as many of you knew him by, was a man of many skills and had a passion for the carnival that could not break him even when times were tough. So today, we do not say goodbye, we say the show must go on and until we meet again on that golden midway in the sky. For there is no more pain and you can retire, for we will take it from here. Take mom’s hand, she has been waiting and go for a ride. See all your friends for there are no lines. I will always be looking for you, but I know you did not run away you are just walking around.

Surviving are one daughter, Susanna (ZeBelle) Haire and husband, Mark Haire; three wonderful grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Jacinda Boyle, Jasper Joe ZeBelle and Stormy Haire; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Marylin Sue (Miller) ZeBelle; and two brothers, William and Richard ZeBelle.

A celebration of life will be held this summer as a cookout at 2201 S. Stonehaven Drive in Yorktown, along with a few celebrations at some of the fairs we vend at. We do not yet have any dates and will inform everyone when things are more settled.

The family would also like to extend a special thank-you to Randy and Jasper along with IU Ball Hospice for the support and care that you have given.

The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be sent to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com.
