Bonnie was born September 19, 1931 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Earnest A. and Ethel L. (Kelly) Warner.

MUNCIE- Bonnie Jean Nixon, 89, passed away, Tuesday morning, March 30, 2021 at the Lynd Place.

Bonnie was born September 19, 1931 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Earnest A. and Ethel L. (Kelly) Warner.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a faithful member of Tabor Baptist Church. Bonnie was a 1950 graduate of Center High School. She retired from JC Penny’s after 23 years of dedicated service in the alternation department. Bonnie was a member of Willing Workers Sunday School Class at Tabor Baptist, Republican Woman’s Club of Delaware County, Charter Member of the Republican National Committee, Precinct Committeeman for Precinct 51 in Daleville, Red Hat Chatters Society and two euchre clubs.

Bonnie is survived by her three daughters Pamela McCammon, Denise Smith (Kevin), and Lynn Ann Crouch (Greg); seven grandchildren Andy McCammon, Lynde Bratton (David), Morgan Crouch, Madalyn Bandura (Corey), Devon Crouch, Malorie Clark, and Ryan Smith (Kelsay); twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-laws, June Ann Hannon (Gene) and Pat Warner; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Earnest A. and Ethel L. (Kelly) Warner; her loving husband Melvin Nixon; her son Robert “Bob” Nixon; her twin sister Betty Kern; brother Gene Warner and an infant brother Jimmy Warner.

Funeral Services for Bonnie will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at The Meeks Mortuary & Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Jim Sandberg officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at the mortuary on Thursday.
