Selma – Donald D. Williamson, 81, passed away Sunday morning, February 2, 2014 at his residence following and extended illness.
He was born on August 7, 1932 in Selma the son of Peter and Alice (Hodson) Williamson, graduated from Selma High School in 1950, served with the USMC during the Korean War, and attended Indiana University.
Mr. Williamson was a truck driver all of his life.
He was a lifetime member of 40 & 8, Voicher #955, and the American Legion, where he was past commander of Selma Post #437. A member of the Amvets and VFW, and a past member of the Marine Corp League.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita Williamson; four daughters, Linda Brown (Steve), Middletown, her children, Kyle, Ryan, and Shannon, Lori Stewart, Mulberry, FL, her daughter, Brandi, Kelli Eley (Chip), Selma, her children, Ashley, Katie, Lyndie, and Kristen Williamson (Brian), her children, Paige, Cory, and Brayden; three sons, Peter Williamson, Los Angeles, CA, his children, Ceara, Gwendolyn, and Adelia, Patrick Williamson, San Diego, CA, and Tommy Williamson, his children, Lacey, Jack, and Maggie; nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister; and a daughter-in-law, Hilda.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Chaplain Phil Crofford officiating. Burial will be held in Elm Ridge Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 with Military Rites by Veterans of Delaware County.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory Washington Street Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
