REDKEY- Doug Alan Rubush, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 2, 2021 at home.

He was born on March 9, 1978 in Muncie, the son of Dana A. and Cindy (Bishop) Rubush.

Doug worked for Ardagh Glass Factory in Dunkirk for 15 years. He was an avid gun lover and collector, loved canoeing and his annual kayak trips with his son and family. Doug was a devoted and loving father to his son, Dominick and had a special place in his heart for all his nieces and nephews. He was an avid prankster and was known as “one wild and crazy guy.”

Surviving are his son, Dominick Rubush of Redkey; his parents, Dana and Cindy Rubush of Edgewater, FL; three siblings, Shawn Rubush (wife, April) of Muncie, Chad Rubush of Farmland and Heather Aikin of Syracuse, IN; his nieces and nephews, Kaleigh, Kyler, Caroline, Devin, Alex, Maddy, Seth, Brock and Sunnee; special cousin, Brock Myers and family; and his childhood friend-“partner-in-crime”, Dustin Priddy (wife, Jessie) of Selma.

Cremation will take place and services will be private.
