MUNCIE- Elizabeth A. (Ray) Christner, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2020 after a lengthy illness and complications from Covid-19 at Liberty Village in Muncie, Indiana.

She was born on October 2, 1944 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Walter E. and Mary C. (Bialon) Ray.

MUNCIE- Elizabeth A. (Ray) Christner, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2020 after a lengthy illness and complications from Covid-19 at Liberty Village in Muncie, Indiana.

She was born on October 2, 1944 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Walter E. and Mary C. (Bialon) Ray.

Elizabeth graduated from St. Paul’s Cathedral High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1962 and continued her education, graduating from Practical School of Nursing in Pittsburg Pennsylvania in 1964.

She lived in Pittsburgh before coming to Muncie in 1966. While in Muncie she worked as a L.P.N. at Ball Memorial Hospital, she retired in 2004 after 37 years of service. Mrs. Christner was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Muncie Women’s Bowling Association.

She is survived by her son, Mark Christner and wife Darlene, two grandchildren, Tyler and Mackenzie; daughter-in-law, Kim Christner; brothers, Frederick Ray and John Ray (wife, Denise); sisters, Pauline Krummert (husband, Ken) and Frances Williams (husband, Doug); and numerous extended family members and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Mary C.; son, Steve Christner; brother, Walter Ray; and sister, Joanne Ray.

The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
