He met a young girl, Judy Ulrey, and they were married on March 8th, 1953. Through the years they raised 4 children and Jack’s road in life took him many directions always serving people in one way or another. Jack was a strong leader and a great friend to all.
As a young man in the 1950’s he coached numerous basketball and baseball teams at the YMCA and with independent and church leagues. Jack was a retired Muncie Police Officer, serving 20 years from 1956-1976, as a Juvenile Investigator and Director of Training/Personnel. He was the first in Delaware County to be appointed to the National School Board.
