SELMA – JoDohn Glaze, son of Marlin Sinclair and (Nora) Jeanette (Frazee) Glaze, was born on October 19, 1933, in Albany, Indiana. He passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the age of 88.

JoDohn was a graduate of Selma High School, Class of 1953, and he served in the US Army from 1954-1957.

JoDohn worked as a substitute mail carrier and for the Delaware County Highway Department before starting his career at Chevrolet – Muncie Plant in 1960. He retired from General Motors in 1993, after three decades of service as a skilled tradesman. JoDohn was a member of Whitney Lodge #229 AF&M.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 63 years, Louise Quirk Glaze; together, they created a beautiful story of family and love. He is also survived by his pride and joys, his children: son, Randy (Cindy) Glaze, daughter, Marla (Chris) Cook, and son, Ryan (Anita) Glaze. JoDohn is also survived by his grandchildren, the lights of his life: Bronson (Kori-Ann) Curtis, Breque (Rick) Norris, Brogan (Shelby) Curtis, Jensen Glaze, Ryan Cook, Jaigen Glaze, Gavin Glaze, Gabriel Glaze, Garrett Glaze, and Michaella Curtis. JoDohn especially delighted in his great-grandchildren: Berlynn VanHorn, Xander Curtis, Leo Curtis, Roland JoDohn Curtis, and Ashby Norris.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Jeanette Glaze, and his sisters, Norelia (Richard) Holdcroft and Melaine Glaze on November 20, 2021. Every single moment of his life was dedicated to his family and serving them. JoDohn prided himself in hard work and loving others. He never sat still; he was always doing something for others.

Additionally, he was very proud that he sent all of his children to college. In his spare time, he was an incredible wood craftsman and made thousands of craft projects with Louise; every grandchild received a hand-made toy box from Grandpa Glaze as part of his legacy. JoDohn loved vacations, especially traveling with family, all over the US, usually with a camper in tow. But by far his most favorite place in the world was his place in Brown County, where Memorial Days and Labor Days and most summer fun took place over the past 50 years. The food, fun, and memories from there are legendary.
