MUNCIE – John E. Bradley, 85, went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours on
Tuesday June 8, 2021 at his home after an extended Illness. He passed away in the presence of his family.
He was born May 19, 1936 in Portsmouth, OH and was the son of the late John D. and Elizabeth (Sally) Bradley. He married his loving wife Betty Lou (Moore) on November 4, 1955. They shared 59 1/2 years of marriage. She preceded him in death June 2014. He missed her so much.
He was a 1954 graduate of Royerton High School. He worked for Culligan Water from 1955-1957; Standard Oil 1957-1973 and General Motors 1959-1993. He worked 2 jobs for 16 years. He retired from General Motors in 1993 after 34 years of service. He had a “strong” work ethic. He was an excellent provider for his family!
He enjoyed wood working and made several projects over the years. He was very precise and was known to not measure twice and cut once but to measure many times to be exact!
John is survived by his daughters, Juliann Hisle (husband, Tim), Suellyn Brosher (husband, Dave), both of Muncie; granddaughters, Autym Holmes (husband Chris), Alicyn Weir (husband Taylor) both of Muncie; four great- grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pop-Pop, Cyler Jay and Adalyn Grace Holmes, Landrey Lou and Everleigh Ann Weir.  They were the Apple of His Eye and put a smile on his face. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Carol Trehearne (husband, Earl “Gene”) of Muncie; sisters-in-law, Judy Pohl and Jo Ellen Moore, both of Muncie; and several  nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Richard Bradley and a brother-in-law, Sonny “Howard” Moore.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at LifePoint Church (Formerly Sound The Alarm), 3100 E McGalliard Road, Muncie with Pastor Joey Prewitt officiating. Burial will follow service at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
