MUNCIE – Loreatha L. (Foreman) Loy, 91, was called home to Heaven after a brief illness on Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Loreatha was born March 10, 1929 in Fairmount, Indiana to Clemon and Eva Foreman. She shared many memories of being raised on the family’s farm with her six siblings. She attended Summitville High School. She married E. Everett Lloyd in 1946, gaining two step-children (Patty and Larry) and had two sons, Meredith L. and Gareth K. Lloyd.

After Everett’s untimely passing in 1959, Loreatha dedicated herself to raising her young children. She worked very hard, most notably, she was employed by Merchant’s National Bank for 15 years. She married George Loy in 1977, and enjoyed 34 years of marriage. She will be remembered for her kind heart, boundless energy, creativity, and wonderful cooking.

Loreatha is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Meredith and Cathy Lloyd; her step-children, Mark Loy, Stella West and Roseanna Frazer; grandchildren, Tina Lloyd, Angela (David) Witty, Bryan (Lori) Lloyd, Kimberli (Scott) Pike, Kimberly (Scott) Harris, Kristina (Kelly) Riley, Tyler (Brooke) Lloyd, Amy (Jake) Skipworth, Scott Crain, Jennifer Loy, Irene Loy and Eric Loy; many great- and great-great grandchildren; and several wonderful friends, including David and Sharon Hite.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Delores (Virgil) Chambers, Helen (John) Zarnow, Velma (Cecil) Brummett, Camilla (Herb) Silvey, Iona (Kenneth) Chesney and Elmer (Imogene) Foreman; husband, Everett Lloyd; husband, George Loy; one son, Gareth Lloyd and step-daughter, Patty (Yeskie) Davis.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or public viewing. Private graveside services will be held.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers at Liberty Village, her home for the past eleven years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church of more than 40 years, Southside Church of the Nazarene, 3500 W. Fuson Road, Muncie, IN 47302.
