MUNCIE – Beloved wife and mother, Marjorie E. Schull, 88, passed away on Friday morning, February 1, 2019 at Morrison Woods Health Campus.
She was born on December 5, 1930 in Muncie, the daughter of Charles W. and Corinne G. (Watt) Schaaf and graduated from Center High School in 1948. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education with a minor in Music from Ball State University. On December 24, 1950, she married Donald O. Schull at New Burlington Methodist Church.
Marjorie taught music and elementary education for 35 years at Center Elementary, Claypool, McKinley and Cowan, retiring in 1988; member of Eastern Star #564; Indiana Retired Teacher’s Association; Newmar Kountry Klub; Hooiser Kountry Klub; and was a member of Daleville United Methodist Church, where she was church organist and choir director for over 23 years.
Music was a big part of Marjorie’s life and she also enjoyed traveling, RVing, quilting, sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, canning and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Philip D. Schull (wife, Adele) of Montgomery, TX, Duane M. Schull of Toledo, OH and Gary K. Schull of Muncie; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Donald O. Schull on April 8, 2015; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bradbury Schull; one brother, Donald Schaaf; and two sisters-in-law, Verna “Bun” Schaaf and Doris Scott.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Reverend Glenn Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 or one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to Daleville United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry, 8104 S. Hickory Lane, Daleville, IN 47334.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Morrison Woods Health Campus and St. Vincent’s Hospice for the excellent care the provided to Marjorie.
