Muncie- Shirley ‘Dean’ McGahey, 84, passed away Monday, December 28th, 2020 at his residence.
He was born June 4th, 1936, in Hartford City, IN, the son of Howard and Pauline (Pierson) McGahey and attended Muncie Central High School.

Muncie- Shirley ‘Dean’ McGahey, 84, passed away Monday, December 28th, 2020 at his residence.
He was born June 4th, 1936, in Hartford City, IN, the son of Howard and Pauline (Pierson) McGahey and attended Muncie Central High School.
Mr. McGahey was a truck driver for 55 years. He was a member of the Eagle Lodge F.O.E. He enjoyed his dogs, yard, NASCAR, the Colts, and his beer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Dean is survived by his sister Janice Maisey (Fred) Sun City, AZ, three children, Shirley McMillian, Fort Wayne, Sharon Rhum (Danniel), Susan Wood (Craig) both of Muncie. Three step-children, Greg Haisley (Susan), Scott Haisley, Joyce King (Matt), all of Muncie, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Along with a wonderful close friend Jannet Mack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth McGahey, Sr., wife Paddy, and son Ricky Dean.
Funeral services will be held privately at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
