Dear Susan and family, My deepest condolences to you all. I loved seeing Ron grillin' and so much appreciated his and your support at Relay for Life! The smell of those pork burgers had a long line of folks and helped us raise lots of money! His love of life was an inspiration to us all. I will always remember his kindness. Sandy Dunn

Dear Susan, Roc, & family, My first recollection of Ron was when Carolyn Miner & I chaperoned a group of 4-H Jr Leaders to Wisconsin for a Jr Leader trip. I remember we were getting ready to drive through Chicago and he volunteered to drive through. So I let him. We had a great trip! He has always been a special person to me! I know the days ahead will b hard ones but I pray the memories that u have will help to ease the pain & warm your hearts.

Susan, Ron was a very good man that has a special place in the hearts of many that knew him. A wonderful man that always made those around him feel better once they were in his presence. You and Ron and your family are in our thoughts today. Our apologies for not being at the service, as Jan has good times and not so good these days. We have known Ron for many years and please know that the memories of a very good person will remain with us for many, many years to come. We would hope that the solace of good memories will carry you and your family through and know that the stars are brighter this evening as they have received one very special spot in the firmament.

To say that Ron will be missed is an understatement for sure. Even our youngest child was left with an impression of the “man with the piggies” as we looked at the pictures from when we visited your farm. Ron’s easy smile and ornery streak left those he touched feeling light hearted and happy. We enjoyed his wit on many occasions.

Susan, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. What I will always remember about Ron was no matter where I would see him (dropping samples at the lab, catering an event, or at the farmer’s market) he always had a warm smile to share and a friendly greeting to give no matter how busy he was.

Susan, Mindy and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of Ron. He was such a nice man and I always enjoyed visiting with him in the office. He made a mean pork burger and I'm glad we were able to try them here. I appreciated being a part of his medical team. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you at this difficult time.

Susan, Rok and family -- I am so very sorry for your sudden and tragic loss. Ron had a personality that brightened every place he occupied. His life was a wonderful example of citizenship and service as he gave back to his profession and his community in so many ways. I will keep the image of him with his wild purple hat from 100 Men Who Cook in my mind's eye in the coming days. His absence will be felt by many, for a long time, though his influence will continue. Sending love and prayers for peace to you all during this difficult time.
